1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the CFI Business Builder website (“Site”) or any services provided by Wisconsin Web Works, d/b/a CFI Business Builder (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use our Site or Services.

2. About the Service

CFI Business Builder provides business tools and setup services for independent certificated flight instructors (“CFIs”). Our Services may include a website, online scheduling, payment collection, customer relationship management (CRM), automated messaging, review requests, weather information and alerts, a private community, document and quiz tools, and related features.

CFI Business Builder is a business-operations platform. We do not provide flight instruction, and we are not a party to any relationship between a CFI and their students or customers. The CFI is solely responsible for the flight training, services, advice, and endorsements they provide.

3. Use of Our Services

You may use our Site and Services only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms. You agree not to use our Services for any illegal activity, or in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair our Site, systems, or Services, or interfere with any other party’s use of them.

4. Accounts & Memberships

  • To access certain features, you may need to create an account and provide accurate and complete information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
  • Membership and subscription options may include free trials or introductory offers, monthly plans, and one-off services. Specific plan details, pricing, and terms will be presented at the time of purchase.

5. Subscriptions, Trials & Cancellations

  • We offer subscription-based services for independent flight instructors.
  • Introductory offers (such as a free first month or founding-member pricing) may be available and will be described at signup. Founding-member rates, where offered, remain in effect only for as long as the membership remains continuously active, subject to the terms disclosed at signup.
  • Subscriptions are month-to-month and cancel-anytime, with no long-term contract or cancellation fee unless otherwise disclosed at registration.
  • Some features or plans may specify a notice period or restrictions, which will be disclosed at registration.

6. Payment & Billing

  • By signing up for a membership, subscription, or service, you agree to pay all applicable fees.
  • Accepted payment methods will be specified at checkout and are processed by third-party payment processors. We do not store full payment card details.
  • Payments must be made on time. We may suspend or terminate access if payments are overdue.
  • We reserve the right to update pricing or services with advance notice to active customers. Founding-member locked pricing, where offered, is exempt from such increases for as long as the membership remains continuously active.

7. Client Responsibilities & Messaging Compliance

This section is important. Our Services include tools that allow you, the CFI, to communicate with your own students, leads, and customers by SMS text message, email, and other channels.

  • You are the sender. When you use our tools to message your own contacts, you are the party responsible for those communications.
  • Consent is your responsibility. You are solely responsible for obtaining all legally required consents from your contacts before messaging them, including any prior express written consent required under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and for complying with the CAN-SPAM Act, applicable state laws, and carrier requirements.
  • No purchased or non-consented lists. You agree not to use our Services to send messages to individuals who have not properly opted in.
  • Honoring opt-outs. You agree to promptly honor all STOP, unsubscribe, and opt-out requests.
  • We provide compliance-supporting features (such as consent capture and opt-out handling), but we do not assume your legal obligations. You agree to indemnify us for claims arising from your messaging practices, as described in Section 17.

We may suspend or terminate any account we reasonably believe is being used in violation of messaging laws or this Section.

8. Weather Information Disclaimer

This section is important. Our Services may display weather information, including METAR data and automated weather alerts, sourced from third parties such as government and aviation weather providers.

  • Weather information is provided for general situational awareness and scheduling coordination only, as a convenience.
  • Weather information is not an official weather briefing and must not be used as the sole or official basis for any flight, dispatch, go/no-go, or other operational aeronautical decision.
  • Every pilot and student remains solely responsible for obtaining an official preflight weather briefing and all required aeronautical information from approved sources (for example, Leidos Flight Service at 1-800-WX-BRIEF or 1800wxbrief.com, and other FAA-approved sources), and for all pilot-in-command decisions.
  • Weather data may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable. We make no warranty as to its accuracy, timeliness, or availability.
  • We are not liable for any decision made, or action taken or not taken, based on weather information provided through the Service.

9. No Professional Advice

CFI Business Builder does not provide accounting, bookkeeping, tax, legal, financial, or investment advice, and nothing in the Service constitutes such advice. Any regulatory references or templates provided (for example, endorsement or currency reminders, or document templates) are provided as convenience tools only. You are responsible for confirming the accuracy and regulatory compliance of anything you send, sign, or rely on. For accounting, tax, or legal matters, consult a qualified professional.

10. User Conduct

When using our Site or Services, you agree to:

  • Refrain from engaging in fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activities.
  • Follow all posted instructions, operational guidelines, and policies we provide.
  • Not attempt to interfere with, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to our systems.

12. Feedback & Suggestions

By submitting feedback, ideas, or suggestions, you grant CFI Business Builder the unrestricted right to use, implement, and commercialize them without compensation or attribution.

13. Third-Party Services

Our Services rely on third-party providers, which may include platform, messaging, payment, weather-data, and analytics providers. Your use of the Services may be subject to those providers’ terms. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, availability, or content of third-party services. Weather data is provided by third parties and is subject to the disclaimer in Section 8.

14. Promotions, Contests & Sweepstakes

We may offer promotions, contests, or sweepstakes from time to time. Participation will be subject to additional rules disclosed at the time of the promotion.

15. Data & Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. Where you use our Services to process information about your own students or customers, you are responsible for having a lawful basis and any required notices or consents for that information, and we act as your service provider with respect to that data.

16. Termination

  • You may cancel your account or membership at any time, subject to your plan’s terms.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts and Services at our discretion, including for nonpayment, messaging-law violations, or violation of these Terms.
  • Termination may occur without refund in cases of misuse, fraud, or breach of these Terms.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Services ends. You are responsible for exporting your own data before cancellation where the Service provides that ability.

17. Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability & Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wisconsin Web Works, d/b/a CFI Business Builder, Travis Lesatz, and their owners, employees, contractors, service providers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or costs, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your use of the Services, your messaging to your own contacts, your services to your own students, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Winnebago County, Wisconsin.

19. Marketing & Portfolio Use

CFI Business Builder may use non-confidential project examples, screenshots, case studies, testimonials, and general results for marketing or portfolio purposes.

We will not disclose sensitive, confidential, student, customer, or private client information without prior written consent.

20. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of our Site and Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
